Hazrat Shaykh Maulana Syed Abrar Hussain Shah (DB) is truly regarded as an embodiment of both worldly and religious virtues.

He earned his B.S. in Computer Science and M.S. in Project Management from the prestigious University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Taxila. Following this, he pursued a distinguished career in software engineering and development. He is the Founder and CEO of Centigma Soft and also serves in higher management roles in multiple companies.

Shaykh Abrar has delivered lectures and training sessions at numerous institutions, including leading medical colleges and hospitals such as PIMS, Khyber Medical College, and Shalimar Medical College. He has also presented technical lectures at institutions like Khyber Girls Medical College, Fatima Jinnah Medical University, North West Hospital Peshawar, Islamabad Medical and Dental College, and the Rawal Institute of Health Sciences. In addition, he served as a Project Manager in the 2017 Census of Pakistan.

Driven by a deep thirst for religious knowledge, he undertook the rigorous eight-year Dars-e-Nizami curriculum, mastering a range of disciplines including Arabic, Tafsir, Hadith, Islamic Aqaid, Fiqh,, Usul al-Fiqh and Mantiq, ultimately earning the degree of ‘Aalim’ from Wafaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia, Pakistan.

In the realm of spirituality, Shaykh Abrar trained under the guidance of Hazrat Shaykh Maulana Zulfiqar Ahmad Naqshbandi (DB). Being formally granted Khilafah by such a world-renowned spiritual guide stands as a testament to his unwavering dedication to self-purification and inner reform. Presently, he conducts majalis (gatherings) of Allah’s remembrance in multiple cities including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Abbottabad and Mansehra etc.

Together with his wife, he established the Urwa tul Emaan Academy, a women’s educational institute in Islamabad, which offers both on-site and online programs.
